Qualified Crypto Appraisers is a cryptocurrency appraisal firm. We prepare independent, USPAP-compliant appraisals of Bitcoin, Ethereum, altcoins, stablecoins, staked and locked tokens, and NFTs for charitable donations, estate and gift tax filings, divorce, probate, and litigation.
The name reflects the standard we work to. For a crypto donation above $5,000, the IRS requires a qualified appraisal prepared by a qualified appraiser, and an exchange price alone does not meet that requirement. Our donation reports are written to those rules, and our appraisers complete the appraiser's declaration in Section B of Form 8283.
Crypto is a hard asset to value well. The same token trades at different prices across venues, holdings can be staked, locked, or thinly traded, and the date that matters is often months or years in the past. Our job is to identify the right market and moment for each holding, document the evidence, and disclose the method so a CPA, attorney, or reviewer can follow every figure.
